Although the SM and LM are close copies of the originals, the new GoldTone Style 4 may be the most authentic replica ever made in production.
    
Richard Barnes, renowned luthier from Claremont, California, is a leading authority on the construction and repair for all models of vintage Weissenborns.

Barnes has teamed with GoldTone's designers, and the new Style 4 is the result of his research on every possible specification.

Since the native Hawaian wood Koa is in severe depletion, the "4" is constructed with it closest cousin, the Australian Blackwood. The grain, appearance and tone are remarkably similar.
