The Goldtone SMP (Sliding Mag Pick-up) is a fantastically full-sounding humbucking pick-up solution for all banjos, far superior to the trebly tone of a transducer style pickup.
Installation is really simple as long as there is adequate space between the coordinator rod and head. Normally the 1/4" input jack is installed in the space between the second and third hook above the tailpiece. This location allows the cable to be easily inserted while the player is sitting down with the banjo.
